Laura has over 25 years’ experience as a trainer, speaker, facilitator, and consultant. Before founding her own training and consulting business in 1986, she worked in secondary education and college administration.

Laura’s particular interests include the "people" side of business. She is especially adept at:

  • serving as a meeting facilitator

  • supervising—as well as teaching—conflict management

  • training in supervision and management

  • teaching effective performance management.


Her background in education and her gift with language have led to great success with

  • developing materials for training programs and company procedure manuals

  • teaching communication and presentation skills

  • conducting leadership skills training

  • facilitating team building.


With her dynamic style and professional presentation, Laura is widely sought after as a speaker and trainer, and she is regularly rated "outstanding" by those who participate in her programs.

In her non-work life, Laura enjoys reading, water sports and volunteer work. She is an elder in her church, as well as a choir member and Bible Study teacher. An avid horsewoman, Laura competes in horse trials.

Frank combines more than a dozen years of managerial experience with a decade and a half of work in the training arena. His background includes experience in consumer banking at First Citizens Bank as well as progressively responsible positions in marketing, sales, and general management with these organizations:

  • Brand Research Analyst at R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company

  • Product Manager at the L’eggs Division of Sara Lee Corporation

  • Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing at Douglas Battery Company.


As a partner in McNair & McNair, Frank combines hands-on business experience with dynamic communication skills to deliver exceptional training. His life experience in sales, account management, negotiation, customer service, presentations, and general management have allowed him to translate classroom exercises into real world results. Frank is particularly skilled at the following:

  • Understanding the inner workings of a client organization and identifying effective solutions for areas that need improvement

  • Developing sales programs and designing and providing sales training

  • Designing and delivering supervisory and managerial training programs

  • Providing keynote and motivational speeches.


Frank’s hobbies include backpacking, nautilus, and sailing. A committed community volunteer, he has served on the Board of Directors at Trinity Center, Inc., Stillpoint Ministries, and the Alumni Council of Wake Forest University’s Babcock School of Management. Frank has done graduate work at The General (Episcopal) Theological Seminary in New York City, and has completed the Certificate in Spirituality Program at Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta.
